We have one opportunity open for a Studio Assistant with Open Studio privileges. The position could be considered a work/study experience, an apprenticeship, an internship, or whatever. In any case, you would have fairly free access to our studio, and in exchange, you would help us with some of the tasks involved in studio and gallery operations. The position is open at this time. The exact terms and relationship we would have going forward will be determined through dialogue and negotiation. You would need to be available during the day to do studio tasks, averaging 10 hours a week.
We have two EIGHT WEEK CLASSES. They are very small, 12 people or less, and there is no instruction. One meets Thursday morning, the other Saturday Morning. There is almost no turnover in these classes. Some of the participants have been continuously taking classes at Fireborn for over 20 years. To be considered for enrollment you should be a past Fireborn student with advanced skills and enjoy independent learning. In these classes, learning happens through peer collaboration, research, and occasional demonstrations and critiques. For more details about class in 2026, READ MORE
