China Part 6 My Crate Arrives

make better pots…

I bought brushes, glazes, tools and about 400 small pots in China. I also had a dozen molds made so I could watch the process and learn how to do it. Then I had a one and one half cubic meter crate custom made, packed it and had it shipped by sea and truck to Fireborn. The whole shipping process was new to me. I had to deal with a shipping agent in China and another in California and a third in Pittsburgh. There were 20 pages of forms, credit checks, tariffs, Trump’s issues with China, and lots of strange international esoteric vocabulary which is peculiar to international trade and shipping. What an adventure!

In any event, after 30 days of anxiety, my crate has arrived.
