Prep for Workshop on Lidded Vessels

Thank you for signing up for our workshop on lids and lidded vessels.

I have some warm-up suggestions. Please bring whatever you produce to the workshop. Don’t worry, you wont need to share it.

 

  1. Search the web for lidded pottery images and drag a bunch that you like into a document or folder or photo app so you can refer back to them. Bring access to them on your phone or computer. 
  2. Next make some sketches. The easiest way is to make  simple line drawings of the right side of the vessel, as shown above.
  3. You may want to sketch whole vessels like in the sketch book below.
  4. Write a paragraph about lidded pots. This is intentionally open ended.
  5. If you have any lidded vessels that you, or someone else made, and want to share them, or critique them, bring them with you.
